Professional Civil Engineer

The primary focus of this position is to successfully design and manage land development projects and to help streamline the design process while increasing quality.   Candidates must be a Professional Engineer licensed in the State of Texas, with a minimum of five (5) years of engineering experience  and hold a Bachelors or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.  Individuals should be proficient in the latest versions AutoCAD, Excel, and other word processing software as well as having a knowledge and ability to apply engineering theories and principles, concepts, and fundamentals.    Individuals should also have the ability to think analytically, solve complex problems, communicate engineering information clearly and concisely, and have the ability to work independently on multiple projects with limited supervision.  Ideal candidates should be self motivated and process a strong desire to satisfy clients.

 

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • The design of water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, paving, and grading improvements
  • Set and monitor budgets
  • Manage engineering staff design time against a budget
  • Develop and maintain project schedules
  • Meet with private and public agencies before and during a project
  • Attend public meetings
  • Help develop production processes
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Communicate with clients during the development process
  • Continue education through project experience, educations seminars, etc.

 

 

 

Graduate Civil Engineer (Engineer in Training)

The primary focus of this position is to successfully design land development projects and implement steps required in the process to receive governmental approvals.   Candidates must have 0-4 years of recent experience, hold a Bachelors or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, and be a registered Engineer-in-Training (EIT).  Individuals should be proficient in the latest versions AutoCAD, Excel, and other word processing software, use their judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications to designs, and have excellent verbal and written communications skills.

 

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • Assist in the design of water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, paving, and grading improvements
  • Assist with the preparation of design calculations for all facets of civil design
  • Assist with the preparation of preliminary investigations, plans, and technical reports
  • Manage personal design time against a budget
  • Attend public meetings
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Communicate with clients during the development process
  • Continue education through project experience, educations seminars, etc.

 

 

 

Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS)

The primary focus of this position is to successfully survey land development projects.   Candidates must be a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) in the State of Texas, with a minimum of five (5) years of surveying experience.  Individuals should be proficient in the latest versions AutoCAD and other word processing software, have the ability to work independently, and to manage multiple projects with limited supervision.

 

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • Prepare boundary and topographical surveys
  • Prepare parcel maps, survey mapping, deed sketches, control and construction staking, metes and bounds descriptions and other general survey support for engineering design projects
  • Assist in the coordination and management of survey field crews and the processing of pertinent field data, including uploading / downloading / manipulation of raw files.
  • Set and monitor budgets
  • Manage surveying staff time against a budget
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and Carlson
  • Communicate with clients during the development process
  • Continue education through project experience, educations seminars, etc.

 

 

 

Graduate Surveyor (Surveyor in Training)

The primary focus of this position is to successfully survey land development projects.   Candidates must have a minimum five (5) years of surveying experience and should be working towards registration as a Professional Land Surveyor as soon as possible.  Individuals should be proficient in the latest versions AutoCAD, Excel,  and other word processing software, and have the ability to work independently with limited supervision.

 

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • Prepare substantially complete survey documents for review by the RPLS
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and Carlson
  • Download and process pertinent field data
  • Routinely check field notes for correctness, math, and/or transposition errors
  • Research survey and property records
